I'd remember that the difference with Harakiri and Seppuku was, that in Harakiri, you do it alone (cut open your stomach), while in Seppuku, you cut your stomach and a trusted friend standing behind you cuts off your head before you disgrace yourself more by showing pain. Oh yeah, the head should be left hanging by a strand of flesh, so, that it doesn't roll off and cause a worse mess than the squirting blood.
