Blackbird on a wire

The guys from The Beautiful South, Paul Heaton and Dave Rotheray, formerly in some other succesful band, together with the now famous Fatboy Slim have been named "the most succesful songwriting duo since Lennon and McCartney". This is the song that proves it. It is truly one of the most beautiful and depressing songs I've ever heard, and I thought of it a lot today...Thinking of Ionela...It gave me such a feeling of sadness....

How cool! I love Beautiful South. I have four of their albumns, a number only equaled by my Queen CD's..... wowie..... and that is cool that they have been honoured as great song writers... I always thought they were

"I love you from the bottom of my pencil case
I love you in the songs I write and sing"

Blackbird on the wire is a beautifully poignant song.... if that is the word I mean....
