Song of the day | to anyone who might relate to this...
Probably Glacialis...to some extent...maybe others...

    Something To Believe In
    These Days
    (J.Bon Jovi)

I lost all faith in my God, in his religion too
I told the angels they could sing there songs to someone new
I lost all trust in my friends, I watched my heart turn to stone
I thought that I was left to walk this wicked world alone

    Tonight I'll dust myself off
Tonight I'll suck my gut in
I'll face the night and I'll pretend
I got something to believe in

And I had lost touch with reason
I watched life criticise the truth
    Been waiting for a miracle
    I know you have to

    Though I know I won't win
I'll take this one on the chin
    We'll raise a toast and I'll pretend
I've got something to believe in

If I don't believe in Jesus, how can I believe the pope?
If I don't believe in heroine, how can I believe in dope?
If there's nothing but survival, how can I believe in sin?
In a world that gives you nothing in we need something to believe in

If I don't believe in Jesus, how can I believe the pope?
If I don't believe in heroine, how can I believe in dope?
If there's nothing but survival, how can I believe in sin?
In a world that gives you nothing in we need something to believe in

For some reason, those lyrics reminded me of Dawid Bowie's "Space oddity". Smile

That's another great song.

Drifting off into space is one of the loneliest ways to die I can imagine. Sinking into the bottom of the sea in a disabled submarine comes close.

Yeah.. Anyway of dying alone is terrible...Anyway of dying is terrible...The one with the submarine terrified me.

Amor: I don't see dying as terrible. I feel almost like death is an old friend who has gone some place far away, and will someday come back.

Cards: Bowie's got a load of songs I like. I was surprised that one was from '69. Smile

Dying is the worst...Even if there is life afterwards, it's not the same...

How can you know it's so bad? Have you tried it?

No and I don't intend to soon. I am however reading books on life after death. Mainly because, if God forbid something bad happens, I can stay by my baby. I wish everything would be like in "What dreams may come".
Have you tried it? Are you comparing it to being feelingless?

"Dyin' Ain't Much Of A Livin' "
J. Bon Jovi
from the album "Blaze of Glory"

A whiskey bottle comforts me
And tells me not to cry
While a full moon says a prayer for me
I try to close my eyes

But the night's there to remind me
Of the guns and the early graves
The ghosts appear as I fall asleep
To sing an outlaw's serenade

Dyin' ain't much of a livin'
When you're livin' on the run
Dyin' ain't much of a livin' for the young
Is it too late to ask for forgiveness
For the things that I have done
Dyin' ain't much of a livin' for the young

The desert's been a friend to me
It covers me by night
And a snakebite's not my enemy
But it taught me how to fight

All this fame don't bring you freedom
Though it wears a this disguise
When an outlaw is just a man to me
And a man has to die

Dyin' ain't much of a livin'
When you're livin' on the run
Dyin' ain't much of a livin' for the young
Is it too late to ask for forgiveness
For the things that I have done
Dyin' ain't much of a livin' for the young

Solo

And I hope someone will pray for me
When it's my turn to die... pray for me

Chorus

That's what my father said it's like. He was practically dead after a diving accident at work. And had he gone ½m further at the seabed, he would've hit a rock ceiling, and died, and I would not be here. He says that things just went black, and then he was suddenly on the pier, like no time had passed. And others I know say similar things too, so I guess it's quite similar to my state of complete emotional void.

Then I've tried it too. But not completely..It just hit me that during my emotional void period, I couldn't feel anything EXCEPT Alice..Whenever her face came up in my mind, I'd feel pain...

It just is nothing. The over three months past by like no time had been in between my loss of emotions and the restoration of them. It was more like one moment you're here, things blur and then you're there and are missing 3 months. If true death is like that, then I've no problem with it. Eternity passes by and I won't even get bored. Wink
