hey, photoshop users... | ...i'm looking for a filter...

anyone know if there's a photoshop filter that automatically generates a "brick wall" texture? like, you could modify the size of the bricks, and modify the amount of texture, and the stagger between the rows...

i'm amazed i haven't seen something that does this already...

I don't know of any specific ones, actually nothing rings a bell.
Have you done a search for plug ins?
Eye Candy does some nice things, so does Xenofex.  Just scout around i'm sure you will find something.  Although, this does sound like a job for a 3D program, then texturing etc would be no problem.

well, it really shouldn't be hard for a simple filter to do this.

think about the "weave" filter, and how similar it would be to a "brick wall" filter.
