Working on it? Really...are you now? I can't promise it'll be okay, because mum always taught me to never make a promise you can't keep. Not that she...directly told me really, but more or less proved it to me.
Mom: "Sure kids, I'll see you tomorrow...."

Emma: "Where's mommy? She's missed my last four birthdays."

Me: "Emma, I don't think she's coming back, but don't worry. We can have a nice birthday party, well actually no we can't. But I'm sure I can pay off one of my friends to dress up as a clown and take some happy pills and we can have a good-o fucking time. Alright? "

Emma: " What brand of liqour was this again?"

And so it stands today. Mother pops in and plays Mary fucking Poppins when she feels like it and walks away feeling mighty motherly. Good-O for her.
