Me: "Emma, I don't think she's coming back, but don't worry. We can have a nice birthday party, well actually no we can't. But I'm sure I can pay off one of my friends to dress up as a clown and take some happy pills and we can have a good-o fucking time. Alright? "

And so it stands today. Mother pops in and plays Mary fucking Poppins when she feels like it and walks away feeling mighty motherly. Good-O for her.
