Spammers suck more than mean people

Anyone that has an email address knows what spam is. Why do we have to put up with these fucking idiots?! If I wanted viagra or penis enlargement I'd do some research to buy it, I don't need you fuckers to send me some lame email about viagra every god-damned day of the year!

I disabled forum registration cause I'm tired of bogus users registering on here so they could attempt to spam on the forum too, as if we don't get enough spam in our lives.

If you're here you must realize the new URL is http://www.holybuffalo.net It was a .com but I let that expire despite the many reminder emails flooding the registered mail account that I hadn't checked in 6+ months. Whoops!

I could have let it expire for good, but I guess I can be sentimental. Besides, there are a couple of projects I had in mind so it may get more use someday.

Alright, I haven't posted anything in ages, but something strange happened and my friend suggested I post it for fun. Fun for the whole family..

There are times when I'm online with yahoo messenger and I get these odd people that decide to chat with me for no apparent reason. I don't know them and they have somehow found me by trolling through the member directory on yahoo. Here's some recent dialogue I had with a special one.

random person: hi
Robb Force: Hi, who are you?
random person: hi i dont know u
random person: just chattin online
Robb Force: Ok, how did you find me?
random person: i was in people directory
random person: just bored
Robb Force: Haha, I seem to attract a certain number of bored people
bored person: lol

Approximately 5-10 minutes pass...

bored person: u know any guys that want head for fun?
Robb Force: Huh, is that a trick question?
bored person: no
Robb Force: From who?
bored person: i like to give head
bored person offering head: for fun then leave
Robb Force: Haha, interesting. Are you a guy or girl?
bored person offering head for fun: guy but i can suck good and leave
Robb Force: I have a couple gay friends but I don't know if they'd be up for that

I'm bored.

It's been a long time since my last article. From my last article until now is how long it has taken for me to reply to emails, complete projects, write code, go insane... come back to sanity (partially). Now I sit here at work for the past 2 hours and the next 2 hours with nothing to do. Mostly because our systems are down, and that's ok.

Now for a story:
They walked to the edge of the village. Sure enough, there was a not-invited man, all festooned in tusks. He was spitting and growling fiercely. He was clacking his tusks. He was waving a narwahl tusk back and forth in the air. He stabbed at some villagers who had come too close to him -- the villagers gasped and stepped back. He had lice jumping out of his hair. He had matted knots of bird feathers braided down his neck.

By now the entire village had gathered. The old man stepped up to the not-invited man.

"Those are nice tusks," the old man said. "You spit nicely, too. What's more, your lice are bigger than any I've ever seen in all my years. Now that I've seen your ferociousness close-up -- leave our village at once!"

"I'm here to challenge you!" the not-invited man said. "I'm a far more powerful magician than you!"

"You smell worse than a rotting whale carcass!" the old man said.

"What?" said the not-invited guest. "Did I hear you insult me?"

"You smell worse than a boot that has been vomited into by everyone in my village," said the old man.

"What?" said the not-invited man, waving the tusk. "How dare you!"

"You are only fit to live in a polar bear's anus," said the old man.

DEMERAIS - Laura Ann (nee Brown) passed away suddenly on August 31, 2001, at Surrey Memorial Hospital, aged 39 years young...Regretfully unable to have children, she focused all her love on her family, especially her neices...Throughout her life, Laura was a truly vivacious and beautiful woman. I shit you not: "the whispers of evil". I've got a book from the late 1800's which collects hundreds of epitaphs from English graveyards, but I don't recall reading any quite as grim and sinister as this one. Much debate has sprung up concerning the actual nature of this woman's death. I'm leaning towards suicide, but overdosing and crime-related violence are other popular theories. The specific religious ideology of the family who wrote the obit is also being postulated about. Catholicism seems the most likely possiblity, since "evil" is presented as an external force capable of destroying the soul, regardless of personal faith or salvation. Any thoughts?

This is a somewhat small, but significant update. I've finally put in several hours to debug my code in the game review script (I actually did it while I was at work). I've opened the review area for testing, click on the link above to look at the test reviews. I still have some work to do as far as incorporating screenshots into the submittal process, but I have an idea on how the layout will work. Anyway, take a look and post your comments in the forum under "Comments and Suggestions".

The new URL is http://www.holybuffalo.com We are now hosted on a very fast server with a solid connection, lots of space, unmetered downloads, unlimited email accounts, etc., etc. I'm very excited with this new change. I'll have more updates to the webpage very soon.

As you may have noticed, due to the lack of updates to the news area, I've been extremely busy these past few weeks. On the day of my last news update I started a new job. It's been hectic trying to learn a new position, while working in my old position, and taking on the new duties of my new position before I was even announced! It was even harder than it should have been because I was also taking a full load in college. The last part has changed a little. After taking my last exam in Microbiology, knowing very few answers, I decided that I don't have enough time to study right now and have requested an incomplete in that class, with the possibility of continuing where I left off next semester. That still leaves me with two other courses, but I can handle those... I'm slowly catching up with my labs that have been put off for a week or more, in those two classes. Anyway, I should have a little more free time very soon, so I hope to be updating the site more frequently with articles, reviews, etc.

New graphics!

Thanks to FoeNix and Goliath I've added some new graphics to the page and the bulletin board. Goliath created the cool Holy Buffalo logo at the top of the new sidebar. And FoeNix is the man! He single-handedly modified all of the bulletin board graphics so that the would look good with dark backgrounds in two days! He also created several new avatars, smileys, and board logos with the color scheme in mind. Great work guys!

The bulletin board seems to be working fine. There is still a lot of work to be done. I need to change all the graphics so they blend with dark backgrounds and there are a few modifications I want to make to the scripts. I also want to make some new logo images for the main board and the forums. I guess I'll start working on that stuff tomorrow, it's time for me to go to bed...
