and then chicago got hit with some sick fucking sleet. messy shit.

and today was the first day of my new shift. 7:30 to 3:30. sounds easy, right? well, it sucked. i never really woke up this morning. i just sort of floated through, and quite literally, "phoned it in".

i'm such a tool at work. but i'm good at what i do, so they can't really let me go.

within the last year, i've been in and observed 2 or 3 seperate training classes, and each class trained and tested in 3 days.

i was a floor coach for quite a while last summer. a friend that i trained with also floor coached, and we used to have fun hanging out together.

then, like 9 months ago i met this hawaiian girl named kennly, and she trained, and suddenly got promoted to floor coach.

she's a total candy fiend. like, real candy. skittles, bubblegum, tic tacs, whatever. she wants candy. always.

and i've spent a lot of time building a larger, sillier toy collection. i moved away from mcfarlane's barely articulated scultures, and started buying stuff that was just fun.

like 3 of the new motu figures, a bunch of "m.u.s.c.l.e." and "ultimate muscle" toys, gundams with strange designs... japanese toy/candy models/figurines.

I just had the strangest dream, and the most relistic ever. I was in the town centre, and had fallen over. I opened my eyes to be looking right into the face of Daniel. I sat up, and we somehow got talking. He told me why he hadn't been in touch all this time (something about America, and wrong addresses). We both had friends with us, but they soon run off and left us alone. I got ready to leave, and Daniel promised to keep in touch this time. He told me that, since he last saw me, he has not been able to listen to Pink Floyd, because it made him think of me. I confessed how often I had put on my Counting Crows CD's, and thought of him. As I stood up and walked away, he called me back, ran over to me, picked my up, and with my legs wrapped around his waist, kissed me. This felt so scarily real, I could feel his lips, I could feel his body pressed against me, and when I woke up (damn my sister's alarm clock) I had to check myself to make sure it was a dream...

But I wish it wasn't. I wanted to roll over, fall back asleep, and stay there forever. I really do think that the only place I will ever see Daniel again is in my dreams. I think there is very little chance of seeing him at a school reunion (there is one due in 3 years time) as we both agreed to not go, together. *sigh*

Just need to get a job for the Spring to get some money. At the moment I have €1200, and I don't think that'll make me secure until I've found a job there. A bit exciting thought. To move out on my own, that is.

A year and a half ago, the neglect of care by my superiors in the army caused a field stove to blow up lightly injuring one of the men under my command. The thing was on trial today, and I was called in as a witness. Looks like the two lieutnants are going to get a nice bill of €50000.
