Brom's cool.  He's got a very distinct style, but the avatar wasn't enough to tip me off.

well, as 'nersh pointed out, the head and shoulders of the figure in that image were used as an avatar on that other board...

check their lame-ass, completely out-of-date "avatars" link on their forums summary page...

I love Brom's style. I thought I had a book of his art somewhere or maybe it was a set of cards... Anyway his art is very good. I remember now that he did a lot of art for the AD&D: Darksun books.

Here's an official site for Brom. He's been around for a long time. This place even mentions the work he did for TSR back in '89. There are a few images available too.

Here is another place that features a fair amount of his work. Some of it I recognize from the Darksun books.
