to live forever is to truly die | ...
Within the blotted and clotted burden of desire lies only the anthems of rusting brilliance
And a strength that has failed so many times
And she cries so loudly the darkness seems to stretch forever
She felt the heat the fevered dreams of not being
And to grasp the abnormalities of a soothing reality without pain
The numbness is what she seeks but it drives her insane

Breathe a word
Deep in the belly of a great beast the changing corrections of a conspiracy
Of total lies and brief obliviation that finds the flowers of a forgotten beauty
And writhing in an abominable pit of her false pretenses without such comforts as true
delusion she finds that she, the girl must play the part of an actress unseen
And while her life is fine she's still coming apart at the seams

A riff of almighty predjustice is rife with wanton sex and to cleanse the skin could be
perceived as a sin
Unnatural holiness under the 'scope for those to see how all these things came to be

But the beat will not stop and the pulsing of something she despises finds its way into her
ears
Multiplying her fears and bringing down her value to but a fraction of an already small
amount

Conceited goats with a fetish for those things akin to the skin
Without so much as a word
And the softest words tend to scream for alleviation
Screeching for this wooden light to quit beaming its inadequacies
Will she find a way?
But is there, really?

The filth of a thousand acts of a performer who cannot contemplate the irreversible
damage done to the props
With a slicing of throats she learns that death isn't forever
Just moreover a way past those things that tend to haunt you

Repeating trash that buries deep into her skull
Searching for a way to find a way out
Clutching to her breast she finds herself chilled
And all those truths led a path straight to a heart wide open
With a stench of putrid emotions
May she sever her heart from her body
To find a way to become totally numb

A rather severe punishment that belittles one and demeans the morals of a being that
lacks the depth it takes for the perception of the true flaws

Eloquent gestures to reach for the tender touch
But it floats away on heavenly wings that belong to an angel but has the face of a demon

And finally she lies
In more ways than one
Rest will not come
But she'll find a way
To make sure she pays

And I wish I were gone

Words are only as dirty as you make them.

Quite lively one, this. Good images. I wonder why no one has given any commentary?

Well, at least you replied, eh? Which one reply that actually says something means more than several that don't have any depth. So, thank you.

I wonder if Cody knew that, she's not exactly a big Metallica fan, so...

I'll go ask her, she's lying on the couch, asleep, at the moment.

Eh...I'll let her sleep.

The song is "To live is to die" and it's a masterpiece of an instrumental song of "...and justice for all" I think.
