Rate topics hack

Should I add this hack or not? It can be useful if you want to post a poem or other artwork to the Arts forum for a public rating.

I don't like the idea. Might make people who normally give feedback to snivel away with a simple rating score and forego the criticism.

Well, I was also thinking it would be nice to decide on allowing people to rate your topic when you post the topic. Something like an option that defaults to off. I don't know if the hack was made with that in mind but that's probably how I would implement it.
