recent developments at work
well, even though i wasn't scheduled to work monday or tuesday, they called me in and had me work both days anyhow.

monday i trained for level 3 calls. that basically just means that the screening process is a little more involved, and the job category i have to search for is more specific.

and then the last hour or so of my shift on thursday was doing an "outbound" assignment. that's what we do when we've screened the applicant, and we have all of their qualifications on file, but for one reason or another, we weren't able to schedule them to an appointment. so i call 'em up and see if they're able to make one.

and then the last hour or so of my friday shift was working on the third floor. that's where the "senior recruiters" and the "call pod" (where all the calls get routed" is.

i can't wait until i start working full-time hours. then i'll be making $14,400 a year - before taxes.

and hopefully, they'll give me a raise someday.

we'll see how things go...

So, in the state of Poverty, you'll be living just down the street?

i suppose, by conventional standards, my income would be considered "poverty" level.

but you don't take into account that i live with my girlfriend, and her income will match mine.

basically, half of my monthly income will go to half of our bills, and the same with her.

leaving us about $1200 a month to play with.

remember, the american standard of "poverty" is a whole heck of a lot different than the standard of poverty world-wide.

I bet you think I'm British.

And it was simply a joke. I know you have your girlfriend's income as well.

As for myself, I make a hundred dollars a night bussing at a local restaurant in tips, and mum makes three times that.

When the season ends our income will fall down to about two-thirds of that. But we'll still be comfortable. Very, very comfortable.

Hahaha....and to think. I'm only fourteen.

no, i didn't think you were british.

but i do think you're being a cunt.

but have fun in the food service industry. it's a good way to begin a career under the umbrella of a multi-million dollar corporation.

oh, wait, that's my job.

nevermind.

I'm not being a cunt thank you very much.

I'm just very ill and cranky.

That hurt.

well, i'm the last person you want to throw your negative energy at.

i understand that you may be ill and cranky, but that gives you no right to throw it in my face.

Mmm....it was a joke.

Anyhow, I only plan on working here until I graduate from high school. Hopefully, with a scholarship and the money I would have built up I can have my doctorate in psychology. Then I can take on something considerably understimulating but at an unreasonable price to those who may "benefit" from my services.

Or something.
