a leave of absense may be coming

i may be taking a little vacation from the 'net sometime soon.

y'see, lately my internet service provider has really been sucking raw egg.

actually, it's not their fault. they got bought out by a company in northern new england, and the service, and level of customer loyalty has really gone down the shitter.

sometimes it takes four or more tries to connect, and when i finally do, sometimes i get disconnected after about  a minute or so. other times i connect on the first try, and the connection is stable as hell. so, i really don't know what the hell their problem is. it's not like they've sent me an e-mail explaining that they're upgrading, or whatever.

as a matter of fact, the only correspondence they've sent to me is a bill with an unexplained charge of $40 on it.

so, y'know, fuck that.

basically, i'll be calling them to discontinue my service by the end of the month, and i really don't know when i'll get around to finding a new service provider.

i might wait until after the new year to get a cable modem, and a decent service provider for it.

i dunno.

i'll keep y'all updated.
