"Adult Swim" | late-night on cartoon network

Funny thing about Cartoon Network: It's almost as big a hit with adults as it is with kids.

On September 2, the network plans to capitalize on this fact by launching a 10 pm/ET-1 am/ET programming block dubbed Adult Swim. The plan is to debut five new (or new to the network) cartoon series aimed at adult sensibilities. In addition, the network will air new episodes of the absurdist cult-favorite Space Ghost Coast to Coast, the animated talk show. Adult Swim will air Thursdays and Saturdays to start. If successful, look for the network to expand the late-night block throughout the week in an attempt to build additional adult audience after prime time.
