super mario 4 | ( a .jp rom )

okay, the other day i got bored and tried to play this gameboy rom.

my word, this game stinks.

frankly, i'm not even sure it's a legit game.

the fact that you start off big, and able to shoot little mushrooms at enemies is just strange.

then, not far into the first level, you touch (not punch, but touch) a mushroom box, and nothing really happens. well, mario turns into a black blob for a second, but he doesn't have any new powers.



also, because the screen refuses to scroll down when you crouch, there are some spots in the game where you might just die if you're not sure where to land, due to the fact that you're walking on those "fall after you stand on them for a few seconds" platforms that we've seen incarnations of in almost every game in the mario series...

i dunno, all in all, i'd say that this is one of the worst mario games i've ever seen on gameboy.

I'm sure its fake, I've heard of some fake roms going around.

well, yeah.

like the "sonic the hedgehog" rom for snes that's just some "speedy gonzalez" game with his graphic slapped all up in it.

then there are the goofy edits, like "pussy city pimps" of "afro mario brothers"...

those are usually have a note designating  them as a {hack}, though.

the funnest thing ever are the games that come on the expensive ($100) calculators called "pimpquest" or "sexquest" both basically the same thing, but if you have that badboy in class, damn its fun.

passes up the time like nothing.

that's not nearly as boss as sleazy pornographic truckstop arcade games.

do you mean like poker and stuff like that, that have naked girls on the cards and stuff.

or the arcade puzzles in bars?

I've played some of them in the local bar/hot wing pace "porky's"

pretty dumb if you ask me.

i'm talkin' about freaky games where you're a nekkid chick flyin' around shooting lasers out of your tits. sorta' like gradius...with boobies.
