Spike And Mike's | Sick and Twisted Animation Festival

yay!

i went out and saw the festival with some friends of mine. i just got back, in fact.

it was... sick and twisted.

and, truthfully, it was rather hit or miss. meaning, some of it was funny and some of it just plain sucked.

flat out, the best segment was "rejected", a segment about some ad spots that were made for "the family learning channel". funny fucking stuff.

unfortunately there were quite a few "angry kid" shorts, and more than a few forgettable wanks.

here are some of the shorts that were included in this year's batch.

stinky monkey - radioactive crotch man - mute and motormouth - monkey vs. robot - coco, the junkie pimp - bowlin' for souls - beat the brat

there were nine others.

just about the only other ones i can even remember were "pussy the red-nosed reindeer", "rejected", an animated short for a "squirrel nut zippers" track, "hangnail",  and a computer animated short involving blue birds on a wire that was by pixar, who you may remember were responsible for "toy story".

there was one in there that was claymation, and it was pure shit.

also, there was one that was done with legos, and it involved a gay couple having some friends over, and some lesbians wanting their sperm.

oh, and of course, there was a great short done with barbie dolls called "wheelchair barbie", and that was actually funny too.

jesus, fuck!

seriously, this one stood out as easily the most creative and knee-slappingly funny one out of the group.

"Rejected" RULED.  I couldn't breathe throughout the whole thing, and I literally almost pissed myself.
