Installed the BB on 04/15/01 and proceeded to hack it
Many changes were made to include:- Color schemes - The BB went through a few phases of color schemes. Started with blue background w/ red links and white text. Then red/black background w/ red/blue links and white text. Finally the current layout, black/red background w/ red links and white text.
- BB images - ALL BB images were modified by JuggleFoe including custom board/forum logos, pips, folder icons, topic icons, and post icons.
- Smilies - Several designed by JuggleFoe were also added.
- Avatars - 98% of avatars were made by JuggleFoe and myself from modified images.
Layout:
- Board header - Modified stats display in board header.
- Forum view - Modified forum view from instructions.
- Thread view - Modified thread view layout from instructions.
- Posting - Enlarged text area and modified CSS file so radio buttons and check boxes displayed correctly.
Hacks:
- Codebuttons - Installed a row of buttons above the post textarea. This script was modified to give it more of an 'application' feel.
- Private Messenger - Added private messenger script that was originally in German. I swapped all German text with English text.
- Server side cookies - Added this script and modified ikonboard.cgi to include links to save and restore actions.
- Avatar setup - Added this hack which modified many scripts for admincenter controlled avatar layout in profile.cgi
- Custom avatar - Another avatar hack to allow custom avatars.
- Instant messaging - Installed instant messaging feature that shows online or offline display for members while viewing a thread.
- Poll hack - Added poll hack to allow posting of polls.
