Did I get inspired. | Made 3 new poems - Glacialis - Aug 18, 2001 That dream In that dream I woke up It was night and all was dark I knew that a game was in play And I needed to be quiet And she clawed me with dagger-like talons But I just laid quiet In that dream I woke up It was night and all was dark I knew I had had a nightmare Then the couch grew teeth and bit me And it bit me with needle-like teeth But I just laid quiet After that dream I woke up It was night and all was dark I knew my sanity was fleeing And I needed to run outside And I begged for the sun to come up But the sun just laid quiet *** My nightmare My nightmares rage inside they're tearing the house apart I ran outside, beneath the roof of stars I'm so cold I hear the specters scream at eachother My sanity hanging by a sindle thread Thread over the vastness of space Over the sleeping world Thin thread of love and courage My reason to live Dripping water like so many poisonous droplets Created by my fear My insanity not eased by the sun It hides just below the horizon, fearing my dreams I feel so alone *** My resolve This is my war I don't need mercenaries Only those I trust Song of Summer playing in my ears A wicked hook mocking me The darkness slowly flees, as my resolve grows stronger But as soon as I show signs of weakness the jackals are tearing me to bits I want to survive with the shard -------------- Had the first nightmare since I was 3. Nuff said. Did I get inspired. | Made 3 new poems - CardsForSorrow - Aug 24, 2001 I love all the imagery in those, and your beautiful way of expressing/describing things Did I get inspired. | Made 3 new poems - Glacialis - Aug 24, 2001 Thx. I thought I was going to go nuts when the feel of horror just didn't go away. Then the sun, thankfully, rose. Damn that was a good nightmare... |
