Anyone else familiar with Rand and her personal philosophy, Objectivism?  I just finished reading "Anthem", and while I disagreed with most of the philosophy behind it, it does interest me.  Take a look, and lemme know what you think of it.

i think one of j.a.'s siblings got involved with an ayn rand cult.

Really?  Any chance you could ask j.a. about it, provided it's not a sensitive subject?

After checking the site, objectivism looks a bit too uptight and rational to ever have any notable effect on my way of thinking. Also, it gives me the feel of it being suceptible to manipulation... Shrug

My uncle gave me a bunch of books by her, I didn't read any of them yet.Should I?

"Anthem" was definitely an interesting read.  Very short, more like a parable than anything else.  Like I said, I disagree with the philosophy underlying it, but it was still an enjoyable read.

turns out it was j.a.'s cousin, not a sibling.
