I had my last exam in college today. The last one. Done...I really feel sad about this. I loved college, the human contact, the relationships, I found THE ONE here. Anyway last night I remembered about that BH90210 episode where they finish high school and go on the hills and spend the night outside...And totoday I learned that we'll sort of be doing this two, in two weeks, with my group. I can't wait...It will be great.
I remember when I was a freshman. I had my last exam in the first year, three years and three days ago, and I saw this group of people, in front of the building, on the steps, hugging and taking pictures, they were graduating. I thought that I was so far away from that moment...Hum. Guess not...

It's pretty strange when your a kid growing up because it always feels like everything is so far away. High school takes forever, turning 16 so you can get your drivers license, turning 18 so you can go to clubs and other events, turning 21 so you can drink. It all seemed to take so long to reach, then after your 21 or 22 everything seems to zip by, even college. Before you know it an entire year has flashed by because you've been working or going to school every weekday. That must be the key. When you spend 8-9 hours of your day working, it feels like you don't have any time left or your too tired to do anything.

Hmm, you don't think you'll ever go back to school? I always felt that I'll be going to school all my life, there's always new things to learn.

True. But it's not like I learned a lot during college...At least not what they were trying to teach me...I was refering more to the human contact aspect of it all...Friends,  colleagues...It will all be so much different come autumn...

I just handed up the last assignment for the semmester, I feel so free now.  Only one semmester left of my course, it's pretty daunting actually.

When you guys say college, you're talking about university right?  Some of our highschools here are called colleges.

I remember my last day of highschool all these girls (I went to an all girl Catholic school) were running around crying and hugging all these people they spent most of their time bitching about, saying hundreds of "I'll miss you"s and "let's keep in touch"-es, it was really fake.

You couldn't wipe the smile off my face that day, it was one of the happiest days of my life, highschool sucked arse.

But uni is great, probably coz everyone who is there wants to be there and shares a common interest (and we don't have to wear a brown and green uniform everyfuckingday).  I study Visual Communication (graphic design) and we have our studios a few streets away from the main campus so it's just our course there which unites us a bit more I think.

anyway ramble ramble ramble.

Yes, I'm talking uni. I didn't feel like this when high school ended. The transition was sort of smooth anyway since my two best friends there plus tons of other colleagues went to the same uni...

I completely agree with you. I was so damn happy about graduating, I couldn't understand what so many people we're crying about. I was planning on staying in touch with my friends after High School. We all know that never happens...very rarely anyway, and you only keep a few of the high school friends even if you do stay in touch.
