I was awakened in the early morning hours by a radio in the next room at nearly full volume and became quite alarmed as one would expect. The "broadcast" was a stream of numbers announced by a male voice. It stopped abruptly. I summoned the courage to investigate only to find the radio, the only object in the room, unplugged from the wall, containing no batteries and the on/off switch in the "off" position. I am still perplexed to this day and often wonder the significance of the "broadcast".
