Son Song

Sometimes I don't
want to face life
Sometimes I feel empty inside
But every moment is precious
And everyone will turn to dust

Dust myself up
and I scream at the sky
It's been so hard
but I can't let it die
Turn my head up,
looking at the stars
So many years,
I still wonder where you are?
Dust myself up
and I scream at the sky
It's been so hard
and I ask myself why?
Turn my head up,
looking at the sun
Waited so long,
it's time to move on, move on

Look at the sun,
look at the sky
Another day, another sign
And every moment is precious
And everything will turn to dust

Dust myself up
and I scream at the sky
It's been so hard
but I can't let it die
Turn my head up,
looking at the stars
So many years,
I still wonder where you are?
Dust myself up
and I scream at the sky
Every day I ask myself why?
So much pain pouring
from inside
Above me I feel the spirit fly
I didn't know Cavalera's son had died...I knew he was sick, so Max had to stay home with hime all the time, but I didn't know he died.
yep.

dana was actually his step-son. i'm sure that didn't make it any easier, though.
Wait a minute. Wasn't Dana the guy he dedicated the first album too? Wasn't he murdered? Clear this up for me please.
Anyway, I am downloading the song right now, I want to hear it while reading the lyrics. What other songs formt he album deserve a listen?
actually, i'm as confused as you are.

i only know what i read on the fan sites...

what else is worth listening to? "in memory of", "jump da fuck up", "mulambo", "back to the primitive", "pain", "bring it", "boom", "terrorist", "the prophet", "soulfly II", "fly high"...

oh, fuck it, the whole album is great, as far as i'm concerned.
Oooooh, I love this song! I love the way it's played and sung, and the spirit of it. I think I am going to download more..You are right Foe.
oh, sean lennon did guest vocals and guitar on that track, too...
Yeah, i was wondering who the voice at the beginning was. Sean is the asian son of John, right?
yep.

i think he's still going out with one of the chicks from cibo matto, too.
hey, amor, did you download any other tracks off the album?

i know some of them are offered for free on the roadrunner records website...
Well I started downloading The Prophet, still on Napster, but, as you people noticed since i wasn't online last night, I had to leave inadveratntly (sp?) to my girlfriend's home town, so I will continue now. I will check out that site too, thanks.
hey, no problem.

why'd you have to go to your girlfriend's town?
Well as you know she's leaving with my parents and me. Every other weekend she goes home, 60 kilometers (40 miles )from here. SHe was supposed to come back yesterday, but she wasn't able to. SO at half past eight pm she called and told me that she couldn't make it so I rushed and cought the last van (they leave till 9pm). And it was great, we spent a lovely night there. And we are back. Sorry if I gave too much details.
cool.

Thumbsup
Actually, the song's dedicated to John Lennon and Max's father-both Sean and Max lost their father at an early age.

The songs "Pain" "Bleed", and "First Commandment" are about Dana's murder/murderers/the cover-up of his death/etc.

Max's real son is alive and well, as far as I know.
