Lillian Garcia comes out and sings the National Anthem, she's a DAMN GOOD singer!!. Michael Cole comes down for SmackDown! commentary, followed by Good Ol' JR, Jim Ross. » We begin with video from last Thursday, when Vince begged for the hell-raising beer-drinking stunner-giving Stone Cold. Then yesterday, when Vince pleaded with Austin at the bar. We see dueling video of the WWF and ECWCW (-foe's note: the ecw/wcw coalition is actually being refered to as ewcw, as i suggested...-) pep rallies, including the Classy One's appearance, and Austin's decision to come back and raise some hell once again, in the name of Team WWF. The SmackDown! video rolls, the pyros explode down the entrance way, and the final big show before Invasion in under way! Michael Cole and Good Ol' JR welcome us and introduce some matches for tonight including Dudleys/Taz vs. Taker/Kane/Tajiri; Rhyno/Booker T vs. Austin/Angle. Here Comes The Money! Shane'OMac leads the WCW troops to the ring, including their referees. The ECW music hits, and Paul Heyman and Stephanie "I am the Queen of Hardcore" McMahon-Helmsley lead the ECW troops into the ring. Shane takes a mic and says that he has seen the future of this business. The future is standing in this very ring. You see, Vince, this Sunday, these guys don't have any other choice but to prove that they are the most dominant brand in this industry. It doesn't matter that Vince has The Undertaker, Kane, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. These guys have to win. Why? Because no one wants to be associated with the loser in this business. No one wants to be Number 2. The advertising, the endorsements, the sponsers: it all goes to Number 1. You know who else follows Number 1? The fans. And you know who else? Every superstar in this industry. And unlike a few years ago, Shane won't have to call up talent and raid the WWF Superstars. They will voluntarily cross over to ECWCW, (-foe's note: once again, on wcw.com, the coalition has been refered to as "ewcw"...-) because this Sunday, the WWF is going down. Paul says that he doesn't want us to get the impression that this is all about business. This is also very, very personal. This Sunday, Vince will get the return of his very bad karma. What did Vincent J. McMahon live for? For this business. And what did Vincent K. McMahon do? Take away the business from him. And how long did Vince's father live after Vince took the business away? A year, maybe a month or so more. You see, Vince is the cause of his fathers death. But maybe Steph and Shane will let Vince have an advisory job, like Ted Turner had. Or maybe Vince can use the free time to start a football league. Oh wait, been there, failed at that. Whatever Vince plans to do, it all stems from the fact that this Sunday, the WWF is going to die. Steph says that she knows what Vince is thinking: that this will all blow over and they'll all make up like always. But that won't be possible this time. After the WWF dies at Invasion, how much time does Vince have left? Steph figures that Vince has 2, maybe 3 years left in him. But just like her grandfather, after Steph and Shane take away everything Vince lives for, Vince will die. But she doesn't wish her father any ill will. She hopes Vince enjoys that last few years of his life, because even Austin won't be able to save him. This Sunday at Invasion, the ECW and WCW force will take out the WWF forever. In the back, Vince is watching and just shaking his head. Jericho enters the office and asks what Vince thought of it. Vince says that words hurt a bit, but actions speak louder than words. So just like Austin will lead the WWF to victory at Invasion, Jericho will lead the WWF tonight against DDP. Jericho asks if Vince was mad at all about what he said to Steph on Raw. Vince asks what he said, and Jericho retells that ECW is now Every Customer Welcome, and that Steph may be the Queen of Hardcore, but movies don't really count. Vince says he's a bit upset, because it would have been better if he had called her a no-good, bottom-feeding, trashbag tramp. Vince tells "Junior" to go out there and kick some ass. Fade Out. » DDP stars off with the offensive in the corner with fists and chops, Jericho moves out of the corner and returns the favors. Chris hits DDP with a crossbody block and gets a 2 count. Jericho locks Nick in the Walls of Jericho. DDP then got a chair and almost knocks Jericho's head off with it but DDP gets locked in the Walls of Jericho. Nick crawls to the chair and tries to use it but Jericho stomped it down and takes it and whacks it into DDP's gut and a followup on his back and gets knocked out of the ring! Winner by DQ: Diamond Dallas Page » Paul is sitting in Regal's chair behind his desk. As Regal enters the room with a cup of tea, Paul offers William a possible job within WCW/ECW when the WWF dies at the Invasion PPV. Regal continues to listen to Heyman until he finished. Williams reaction is absolute fury at it's best as he said that if Heyman didn't get his feet off his desk and hit butt outta his office that he'd do things to Heyman so violent that it'd make the devil cry. Heyman then ran off in a hurry and then Regal's face was still furious as hell but a second later he adjusts his tie like a gentlemen. Beautiful segment, William Regal rules!! » Lance storm starts it off with Christian and has the first control. Several great offensive manuevers by Lance Storm. Christian came back with an inverted backbreaker and that follows by a slugfest, a back body drop an a drop kick. Mike Awesome interferes and Edge comes after Awesome. Stone Cold is BACK! » Lots of action that starts off with Tajiri showing no fear and ran into the ring right after Tazz and got jumped by all 3 men. Tajiri continues to get punished by the Dudley Boyz and Tazz for a bit, finally The Undertaker and Kane get involved and the match end with Tazz getting the Chokeslam from the Undertaker to get the win. Winner: Bradshaw » As Trish had Torrie beat, Nick decks Earl and that enable Stacy to help Torrie win the match. After that all hell broke loose. Lita attacks Stacy and Trish attacks Torrie and Earl goes after Nick!!. The WWF triumphs over them!! Winner: Torrie Wilson » In the back, Vince is on the phone, and gets some good news.
