Hey I can behave if I have to. So why hasn't my account been deleted yet?

because you haven't been a prick yet.

;)

Thought so...

-- Posted by JuggleFoe on 6:23 am on Sep. 17, 2001

i mean, feel free to "prick-on" all ya' want here in the pile, but it's simply not going to be tolerated in any other folder on this board.

-- Posted by grinspoonz on 6:28 am on Sep. 17, 2001

w00t. Will do. :)

Hmm maybe I should have used 'fuckfoe' as my password...

:rotflmao:

*quickly adds "pile" to the ignore list*

-- Posted by grinspoonz on 1:44 am on Sep. 19, 2001

*chuckles*

-- Posted by honky618 on 1:44 pm on Sep. 20, 2001

you can add certain topics to be on ignore.  because the only ones i'm going to be using is probably the pile and the general.

unless there is one about technology or geek thread like its called on the l337 board.

thankfully.

Yeah, you won't have to worry about him soiling the sacred domain of wrestling discussion.

-- Posted by JuggleFoe on 7:35 pm on Sep. 20, 2001

is that supposed to hurt my feelings? that's probably the best news i've heard all day.

-- Posted by honky618 on 7:49 pm on Sep. 20, 2001

none of the other threads are my kind of things.  well except for the emulation thing.

I love to play old nintendo games and shit like that on my comp.

but I can't seem to find any N64 or playstion games on the net.  I can only find the emulators for 'em.

-- Posted by JuggleFoe on 8:02 pm on Sep. 20, 2001

probably because most of the emulation society (from what i've seen) is centered around nostalgia. and it's hard to be nostalgic for a system that you can easily go to the store and pick up.

that's definately the way i feel about it.

the only "new" stuff i've sampled is neo-geo pocket, and some of the newer gameboy color games, as well as some of the gameboy advance stuff. but the later was mainly because i had an interest in purchasing one...

*throws a nickel to honkster*

Now dance bitch.

...It's also very difficult to create a working keyboard representation of the joystick components of N-64 and Playstation controllers, especially since the joystick is often used in tandem with the direction pad.  Try playing Quake using only your keyboard.  Pretty freaking impossible.

-- Posted by honky618 on 1:52 pm on Sep. 21, 2001

I guess you're right inertia.

but what about playstation games?

Didn't later Playstation I controllers come with a little joystick?  I could've sworn they did, though I could be wrong; I never owned one.

-- Posted by honky618 on 4:27 pm on Sep. 21, 2001

well, you can buy special controlers but they normally come without the joy sticks.

What are you talking about? That's how it was done when Quake first came out on the PC. I used to play Quake on my Mac that way and I was pretty good. :machine_gun:

yep. i think 80% of the playstation controllers i ever used had the dual joysticks, with "dual shock", or whatever they called that.

-- Posted by honky618 on 10:17 pm on Sep. 21, 2001

then you must've gotten a special pack.

-- Posted by JuggleFoe on 10:58 pm on Sep. 21, 2001

you misunderstand.

i wouldn't own a sony playstation if you paid me to take it. friends of mine had them, however.

-- Posted by AmandaKaT on 4:56 am on Sep. 22, 2001

erm........ i was gunna say sumthing but i'm not sure my input would be of any value in this techno discussion.

so i'll just sit back and watch...

-- Posted by honky618 on 9:15 am on Sep. 22, 2001

whats wrong with playstations?

I think their nice.  except for the loading parts.  but I'm not a big gamer.

I like the occasional game of half life on my comp.  and some tony hawk's pro skater 1 and 2 on my friends playstion.

the only gaming system I have is super nintendo, and those very old sega's.  before there were genesis.

they came with 3-d glasses that you had to plug in to the system and stuff, its rather an odd system.

"master system".

-- Posted by CardsForSorrow on 2:00 pm on Sep. 22, 2001

You can't mess with the clasics.... Master System rocked, I loved Alex the Kid (the little guy who would eat hamburgers)

And I have a Mega Drive, Sonic rules...

And the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System for you who don't know), My favourite games on that were Manic Mansion (Some teenagers trying to rescue their friends from a mad scientist, very Rocky Horror), and Zelda (A Peter Pan looking creature on a quest) I had the gold cased Zelda, very rare (well, now anyway), and Kickle Cubicle (Now, I loved this guy, I recomend this game to anyone)

The classics are the best, in my eyes......

-- Posted by AmandaKaT on 3:06 pm on Sep. 22, 2001

-- Posted by JuggleFoe on 4:20 pm on Sep. 22, 2001

tetris, bubble bobble, the super mario brothers series, donkey kong and donkey kong jr, spy hunter, punch out!, kung fu, wrecking crew, metroid, gyrus, arkanoid, adventure island, demon sword, contra, castlevania, mega man...

all great games, as far as i'm concerned...

edit: how did i forget MONSTER PARTY?

(Edited by JuggleFoe at 6:21 pm on Sep. 22, 2001)

-- Posted by Robb Force on 4:54 pm on Sep. 22, 2001

I don't remember Monster Party...

My brother and I used to have so much fun playing Tanks, Frogger, and Pitfall on the Atari 2600, now that's old-skool.
