The Trusted Computing FAQ. Go and read. It's about this little chip called Fritz, and it's good friends Intel, Microsoft and US government, for starters. This friendly little chip would permit the remote control of your computer by 'trusted' third parties, and severely limit your freedom of choice for hard- and software and files among other things.
