any stations over there show the old "taxi" series?

I saw the Jim Carrey movie and  it got me hooked on this guy...But the movie is all I know of him.

"ladies and gentlemen, the new owner of ecw... MICK FOLEY!"

that would've gotten a pop out of me... 'specially if he came out to his cactus jack theme music...

Inertia Posted on 11:45 am on July 16, 2001
Heh.  Hadn't heard that one, although it makes much more sense.

As much as I hate the guy, I would've marked out if he came out as the "new owner of ECW".  I would've prefered Flair, of course...

JuggleFoe Posted on 11:36 am on July 16, 2001
well, that's a theory.

although, it'd make more sense if vince russo was mcmahon's lackey, sending wcw into the ground with terrible angles and cheesy characters...

some people actually believe that, y'know...

Inertia Posted on 11:31 am on July 16, 2001
Damn right.

Kinda like how Montreal was all a work, and Bret was sent to Atlanta to sabotage the competition, and know that Vince owns it all, the most diabolical, ingenius plan of all time will come to fruition, right?

Right?

JuggleFoe Posted on 11:21 am on July 16, 2001
well, according to that article that i linked above, not even andy knew it was gonna happen, and it was planned...

but... y'know... as with anything in the wrestling world, take that with a grain of salt...

Inertia Posted on 11:12 am on July 16, 2001
Must've missed that.

The great thing about the Letterman show was that no one (other than Andy and Jerry) knew about it.

JuggleFoe Posted on 11:09 am on July 16, 2001
i remember one time diamond dallas page (i think) was on some daytime MTV show, and raven attacked him, and smacked him over the head with a stop sign.

this was during the "flock" days, of course.

also, there was the whole "will sasso/mad tv/bret hart" thing a few years back...

Inertia Posted on 10:58 am on July 16, 2001
I'll have to check that out someday.

The Letterman thing is great: how many wrestling works actually take place on non-wrestling shows?

JuggleFoe Posted on 7:28 pm on July 14, 2001
someday i gotta see "my breakfast with blassie"...

JuggleFoe Posted on 6:59 pm on July 14, 2001
click here to read a great article about andy kaufman's historic
feud with jerry "the king" lawler...

JuggleFoe Posted on 6:56 pm on July 14, 2001
