Oh, rite. In that case I can't help. I hate analyzing stories and art in general. But it was nicely and vividly written and depicted.

uhh, thanks and all, but i meant more feedback on the story itself, not more dream enterpretation.

*sigh* K. My interpretation of it: Somethimg/one evil/not nice from the past is resurfacing again (maybe something related to it (the brother). Your parents/someone giving you a safe feeling or being an authority is helpless to protect you from it. You don't quite understand the thing and fight it, make a sacrifice, which doesn't help, and in the end lose the secureness/authority person. This'll probably happen in some connection with something you think as a haven (the home). Things'll probably not go as dramatically as might be thought about of the dream, but it's something that's already started to unfold and your subcouncious mind is picking it up. Thenagain, it might just be a dream...

Huh. Wow. I'll have to ask some of my comic-collecter friends about that. Sounds groovy. BTW, the only other Bruce I've met in my entire life was this guy in one of my classes a couple of semesters ago. His full name? Bruce Lee. No foolin'.

Ooohh... Bruce Hitler as a sinister "father of the Superman" (or uberwayne, if you prefer), who shoots the "real" father, just like in Batman, sending our young protagonist on a lifelong journey into darkness, obsession and revenge! Or something. Christ, the number of time I was called Bruce Wayne as a kid... The worst thing was that each person who called me that acted as if it was some brilliant brain wave; that they were the only person smart enough to come up with such a brilliant barb. Bleh. OK, yeah, I remember what you were saying about the rich kid. Before you said that it had actually happened, the "rich kid as id/subconcious" idea seemed interesting.

oh. i just remember their being some confusion as to whether the "rich kid" in "birthday whore" was a real person, or a figment of my imagination when i first posted it back at skag's... and if i had to link bruce to anything off the top of my head, it might be because i've always been a batman fan, and bruce's last name is my first name. but that's a long shot.

I knew that "Birthday Whore" was a true story; I just meant that it was a good story. Everyone does have a few good stories in 'em, it's just a matter of getting them out (preferably with a hacksaw and screwdriver) and expressing them in an interesting fashion. ...And I'm still not so sure that the "Bruce" thing was just a coincidence. It ain't exactly a common name, y'know.

dude, "birthday whore" was a true story. i wish i had that saved, somewhere, though.
either way, i attribute anything well-written that comes from my hand to the old saying "every man's got a few good stories in him"... (Edited by JuggleFoe at 2:40 pm on June 27, 2001)

Um...Whoah. First off: that was damn affecting. Next, the filter of listening to the Sex Pistols whilst reading it added to the surrealism of the whole thing. Then, there's the experience of seeing my name with "Hitler" as a suffix, which, I must admit, is a new one for me. Not sure how I feel about that. To be honest, dream interpretation is far from my specialty. My own dreams are horribly pedestrian: doing homework, finding rare records, going to concerts. The ones which might mean something are few and far between, and I can't even scratch the surface of them. Dude, you're a better writer than I suspect you think you are. This, as well as the story that you wrote about yourself, the rich kid and the slutty girl are really well put together.

Amor, not really. I guess I interpret people more. If someone tells me a dream in real life I can usually connect up a few things and see how it could relate to their current situations. It's harder when it's written down because you can't see how the person is behaving/reacting when they're saying it, like u can if they are talking to u in person. I have some books about dreams too which list symbols and give explanations etc that's how I remembered what blood and guns could mean. But I prefer to just come up with wild and abstract interpretations for people's dreams and I usually come up with the most unlikely thing that they would ever think of, which will then turn out ot be their solution. If u get what I mean. . . it's late, i'll prolly read this tomorrow and embarass myself over the poor grammer.
